BAP Medical works towards sustainable healthcare
We are proud to announce that BAP Medical recently received the Green Deal label. With the Green Deal, we show that we are working towards sustainable healthcare and have goals to expand this further.
What is the Green Deal?
The Green Deal is an agreement between the Dutch central government, the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport and the healthcare sector.
BAP Medical is part of this initiative to make the healthcare sector more sustainable. It is a continuous process. We already took steps towards sustainability, and we plan to become even more sustainable in the future.

Examples of our sustainable initiatives
We help promote the health of patients and employees. We do this by creating a sustainable working environment and making healthcare more sustainable with our products.
Sustainable work environment
In various ways, we ensure that our employees can work at the office sustainably. We strive for a healthy work environment, also for individuals with distance to the labour market. Some examples of these initiatives are:
- Company bicycles
- Air filtration system
- Standing desks
- Participation in local sporting events
Sustainability in our factory
Our products are produced in our factory in Belgium. The factory is equipped with solar panels and a heat pump. The surplus energy from the solar panels is stored for later use. In addition, rainwater is used instead of drinking water where possible.
Making healthcare more sustainable with our products
We contribute to making healthcare more sustainable with, for example, PneumaSox.
“PneumaSox is a compression therapy device designed for patients with an open leg (venous leg ulcer) caused by chronic venous insufficiency.”
PneumaSox enables patients and healthcare providers to save on materials, material costs and labour time. This makes the use of PneumaSox cost-effective and environment-friendly.
Some of our goals
Fossil-free delivery
Our letter mail and returns are already transported by bicycle courier. By 2028, 30% of our packages must also be delivered by bicycle courier. And by 2030, our parcels in the Netherlands must be delivered completely fossil-free.
Durable materials
By 2028, we want to use only sustainable recycled packaging and all marketing materials must be made from sustainable materials.
This is how BAP Medical is working towards sustainable healthcare.
